Maezelle (Mazie) Presson - Langston, 94 of Thayer, MO was born to Sanford Thorne and Cloyce (Rowlett) Thorne on June 8, 1927 in Faulkner Co. of Arkansas. She departed from this life on May 24th, 2022 at her home. Mazie married her childhood sweetheart, Donald Presson. To this union, 1 daughter was born, Judy. Together they moved to Mammoth Spring, AR in 1951 and later moved to Thayer, MO in 1977. They spent 51 happy years together until Don’s death in 1995. Mazie spent her younger years working as a waitress, factory worker, and doing office work in the local area. In 2000, Mazie married Eugene (Gene) Langston in Salem, AR where they lived together for many years until he departed this life in 2004. Mazie then moved back to Thayer, MO. Mazie is survived by one daughter - Judy Presson of Thayer, MO. 2 Granddaughters - Sheri Shaw of Thayer, MO and Lisa Davis of Mammoth Spring, AR. 5 great grandchildren - Crystal and Jeremy Sandling of St. Charles, MO., Micheal Montgomery of St. Charles, MO., Amy Shaw of Thayer, MO., Mariah Davis of Mammoth Spring, AR., Ashley Davis of Mammoth Spring, AR. 2 Great Great Grandchildren - Katie Ogle and Caleb Sandling of St. Charles, MO. Mazie was also survived by 3 step daughters, 2 step sons, and a host of many other special relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands; Don Presson and Gene Langston. Her parents; S.D and Cloyce Thorne. One brother, Jimmy Thorne. A special friend, Don Blackwell of Cherokee Village, AR. Long time family friend, Rick Davis of Mammoth Spring, AR. Along with several dear brother and sister in laws. She truly lived up to her name Mazie. She was a devoted Christian woman and an amazing wife, mother, grandma, granny great, and friend to many. She will be very missed by all. Heaven gained amazing Mazie. Pallbearers include: Aaron Bowers, Ed Brown, Mark Smithson, Mike Smithson, Jess Stafford, John Stafford. Honorary Pallbearers include: Jeff Busch, Terry Gaines, David Presson, Donald Ray Rowlett, Gary Rowlett. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm with services at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Common Ground Church of God, Thayer, MO with Pastor Robbie Bonser officiating. Interment will be in the Thayer Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed & always dear.”
