Leroy Thomas O’Neal 79 of Alton, Mo passed from this earth December 23, 2022, surrounded by his family. Leroy was born April 12, 1943, to Linvel and Goldie O’Neal. He was united in marriage January 21, 1966, to Kathryn Bell, they were married 45 years before her passing in 2011. Leroy and Kathryn had two children, Ricky Leroy O’Neal and Laura Kathleen O’Neal Massey. Leroy is survived by his sister Martha Neet of Mesa AZ., son Ricky and wife Kimberly of Belton MO, his daughter Laura and husband Tim of Ozark MO, his sister in laws Sheila Brown and LaDean Bell, his 13 grandchildren: Kimmy, Ricky A. and wife Maurika, Justina, Holly, Brittney, Jamie, Marcus, Christian, Kaliyah, Steven, Kathleen and husband Christopher, and Keegan. Eight great grandchildren Rylie, Paisley, Austin, Naleece, McKinlee, David and Loraine. Many beloved nieces and nephews. Leroy retired from the Teamsters Union in 1995 settling in Alton near Kathryn’s family which was very dear to his heart. Leroy was known for never meeting a stranger, always helping others, working hard to provide for his family and any person or animal in need. Leroy and Kathryn had a passion for caring and helping the people especially the children of Mexico. Leroy’s big personality and giving heart will be greatly missed. Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Bailey Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. J. Darrell Strain officiating. Pallbearers: Thomas Pointer, Kalan Roberts, Christopher Roark, Micco Bell, Ricky A. O’Neal and Mike Hughes. Burial of the O’Neal family farm near Alton, MO.
