Eric Michael Adolphson, 45, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Eric was born on January 23, 1978, in Hayward, Wisconsin, to Roger and Christine Adolphson. On March 22, 2007, he was united in marriage to Misty Brinkley while on a mission trip to south Texas. Eric was homeschooled through high school. As an adult, he worked several secular jobs, but ultimately followed God’s calling and went into ministry. Eric first served as youth pastor at Trinity Worship Center in West Plains, Mo., under pastor Bob McGee for several years while working to become an ordained minister. After receiving his ordination with the Pentecostal Church of God in 2007, he served for a time as associate pastor at Family Worship Center in Versailles, Mo. He subsequently pastored at Faith Chapel in Cole Camp, Mo., from early 2011 until April 2013 when his declining health forced him to retire from full-time ministry. Eric had a true heart for ministry and went on several mission trips. He also helped lead a jail and addiction recovery ministry for a time and spoke at various churches throughout the past several years, despite his many health issues. In addition to ministry, Eric felt it was his mission to bring his family together. Making sure everyone knew just how much they were loved and cherished was his priority. Eric enjoyed many outdoor activities such as camping, canoeing, kayaking, caving, scuba diving, shooting, hunting, and cookouts. He had many friends and family members who he loved dearly, but his pride and joy was and always will be his daughter, Isabella. Eric is survived by his wife, Misty; daughter, Isabella; his siblings: Kevin Adolphson (Debbie), Jane Williams (Steve), Laurie Wolff, Jason Adolphson (Katherine), Felicia Adolphson, Jennifer Eytcheson (William), Tamara Bogan (Jeremy), Kyle Adolphson (Anne), Lucas Adolphson, Sean Adolphson (Erica), Quintin Adolphson (Jessica), Meghan Johnson (Mike), and Justin Adolphson; many nieces and nephews, and his lifelong best friend, Jeremy Nix (Mary) and their son Ethan. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger Adolphson and Christine (Adolphson)Tharp and two brothers, Christopher and Gabriel. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Trinity Worship Center in West Plains with a celebration of life service immediately following. A private graveside service for close family and friends will be held afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Trinity Worship Center in West Plains to help with final expenses.
