Dollie May (Woten) Bishop was born in Mammoth Spring, AR, to A.F. Woten and Lilly (Shupp) Woten on January 7, 1928, and went to her Heavenly Home on April 5, 2023, from Eagle Crest Nursing Home at the age of 95. She married Leland Clyde Bishop on September 17, 1945. To this union four sons were born: Donald, Raymond, David and Rickey. Besides her parents, Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, 1 son, Donald, 1 grandson Virgil, 1 great grandson, Brendan and all of her 12 siblings and their spouses. Dollie is survived by: 3 sons, Raymond and wife Beverly of Mtn. Grove, MO, David and wife Lorie of Mammoth Spring, AR, Rickey and wife Janice of Thayer, MO; Daughter-in-law, Louise Bishop; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her. Dollie worked with Lee on their farm while raising their children. She always made a large vegetable garden as well as a beautiful flower garden. She enjoyed making quilts and crocheting, cooking and music. She loved spending time with her family and going to church as long as she was able. Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Wayne “Smiley” Martin officiating, and burial following in the Wirth Cemetery. Visitation will be 1pm-2pm Saturday, April 8, 2023. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
