Rondal Wayne Clark, the son of Thomas Powell "Pete" Clark and Roberta "Ruby" Faith Jones Clark was born on July 27, 1943, in Portageville, MO, and passed away on August 23, 2023, in Thayer, MO. Ron served three years active duty in the Army and was stationed in France during 1961-1964. He married his best friend and love of his life, Gletta Joy Sims on December 5, 1965, and to this union three children were born. Ron and Gletta had a wrecker service at Hillcrest and Koshkonong before owning Clarks Auto Salvage in Thayer for over 30 years. He was a man of integrity and admired by all that knew him. His sister described him as having a lot of their mother's traits: to do what is right, with discipline and compassion, and don't quit. Ron will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gletta Clark, his sons, Anthony (Joanna) Clark, Stephen (Missy) Clark, and daughter, Natalie. Six grandchildren, Cameron (Mollie) Clark, Julia Clark, Jacob (Alissa) Clark, Anna Clark, Renee', and Michaela. One great-granddaughter, Ruby Clark and one unborn great-grandson. Two sisters, Joanne (Paul) Strop, Donna (Greg) Zink, and one brother, John Clark. Three sisters-in-law, Hope (Danny) Seibert, Pam (Darrell) Wade, Angie Godwin and one brother-in­ law, Roy (Michelle) Sims, special friends, Charles and Rodema Jarrett, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Ruby Clark, two sisters, Emma Crowe, Mary Sue Henderson, brother, Larry Clark, an infant brother, Billy, mother and father-in-law, Roy and Lillian Sims, son-in-law Mike, and brother-in-law, Benny Godwin. · Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with visitation from 10am-11am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Thayer Cemetery. Pallbearers: Stephen Clark, Anthony Clark, Cameron Clark, Jacob Clark, Roy Sims, Jim Henderson Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or any Parkinson's Foundation.
