Mary Ellen Barnes Haney born August 7, 1944 in Oakland, CA. to Emeral and Shirley Burge Barnes. In 1962 Mary married the love of her life Joe Haney. To this union 2 children were born. Thomas Joe and Mary Alice (Cis). Preceding her in death are Husband Joe, parents, Emeral and Shirley Barnes, Father and Mother in Law Marion and Irene Haney, Sister Doris Barnes Blair of Maryville Tenn. Brothers in laws, William, Noah, Lonnie, Frank and John Haney and Sister In Laws Karen Barnes and Becky Barnes and granddaughter Nellie Haney. Very Special Grandparent A. C. and Anna Burge, and niece Beth as well as a couple of nephews in Tennessee Mary leaves behind her Children Thomas (Deb) Haney and Mary “Cis†(Mike) Blanks all of Winona, Brothers Jim Barnes Winona, William “Buster†(Peggy) Barnes of McRae AR and Sister Jeannie Barnes of AR. Sister In Laws Clara Ray, Susie Haney and Annie Whaley and Marie Haney and Brother In Law George Haney. Grandchildren Amanda Haney (Scott) Enloe of Buffalo MO, Jacob (Kristie) Haney of Winona and Aaron Blanks of Farmington, MO. And Special adopted grandchildren, Mason Blanks and Sahara Rice. Her Pride and Joy were her GREAT Grandbabies: Lilly, Ellie, Abby Enloe, Thomas, River, Jackson, and Brooklyn Haney. And a host of Nieces and Nephews. Mary loved her family with her whole heart, her Grandchildren and Great GrandBabies were her life. She always loved it and would beam with joy when she was around them. Mary had a love for animals. She loved raising her pigs, chickens, rabbits and cows. She had a name for each one of them. Her house pets were her birds and two turtles. When she was younger, she loved gardening and canning. She loved flowers of all kinds. Her yard was just full of rose and lilac and snowball bushes. Many of these were handed down by her Grannie and Granddad. She also loved her Humming Birds. She would buy sugar all year long so she could feed her hummers. Mary was a babysitter to almost half of Winona Children. She loved her kids. She could name each one of those children as well as their date of births. Mary had a love for all kids. Mary had some very special kids that touched her heart throughout the years. Jarod, Chelsea Prewett, Sarah and Lucy Wilson as well as Maria and AJ from church. She was a member of Winona Church Of God Of Prophecy her whole life. She taught Sunday School and Children’s Church and did a lot of behind the scene acts of kindness. Mary was a big supporter of disabled Veterans, Indian Nations Children and Gentry Residential Care Center for Boys. Mary will be missed by all who knew her. |
