Tina Strain-Jones, was born November 6, 1926 in Myrtle, MO to Wes and Ader Hefner-Lewallen and passed away March 16, 2025. Tina married Harold Strain on February 28, 1946 and Ed Jones in November 1968. She was baptized in Bisbee, AZ in 1944 and graduated from Alton High School in 1945. She worked as a wool presser throughout her life, a skill she learned in Thayer, MO and honed those skills in Ferguson, MO. Tina chose to move to California, she needed a warmer climate. She continued to work as a wool presser until the young age of 79. She loved music and played back up guitar as a teenager. Tina continued her love of music and dance. Her baseball was her second love. Tina is survived by her children Mary Jane Foeller, Brenda Hatch and Jim Jones, six grandchildren, Shelly Olscher, Kim Foeller, Bill Foeller, Andrea O’Malley, Trenton Hatch and Gabby Maxwell, four great-grandchildren Kaela Jane Foeller, Zach and Kurtis Olscher, Juniper Maxwell, three great-great-grandchildren Luca and Sullivan Olscher, and Addison Vossmeyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Theo Lewallen, Verdie Rogers, Thurlo and Hugh Lewallen and Neati Hays. Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Clary Funeral Home with burial in the Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-1:00pm Saturday at the funeral home. |
