Katherine “Sue” Gatewood was born in Walnut Ridge, AR on June 12, 1947 to the late Theodore Roosevelt Meeker and Nancy Ophelia Mae (Lassiter) Meeker. She departed this life September 28, 2021 in West Plains, MO.

Also preceding her in death is her sister Tommie Hatfield, her brother Bill Meeker, and her brother James Meeker.

Sue’s memory will live on through her daughter Ronda Kersey and husband Wendell of Paragould, AR; son Ted Gatewood of Mammoth Spring, AR; and Jamie Dearinger and husband Richard of Parksville, MO. 8 grandchildren Jessica, Destiny, Tony, Amanda, Marissa, Caila, Lexi, and Abby and their significant others. 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Sue was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She attended Stateline Pentecost Church of Thayer, MO. She thought the world of her Pastor Brother Wayne Hurst. Sue was loved by many and will be missed by everyone.

Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO with Bro. Wayne Hurst officiating, burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be Friday 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers Frank Hurst, Wendell Kersey, Rick Meeker, Buck Baldridge, George Cue and Jacob Condray.
