Tommy Joe "TJ" Johnson, age 78 of West Plains, MO, was born May 6, 1943, in Granite City, IL, and passed away January 30, 2022, at Ozarks Health Care in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: 4 sisters, Donna Simpson, Jenny Nichols, Rita Hall, Darlene Dillon; 1 brother, David Johnson; his step-mother, Pearl Stogsdill; 7 children, Leslie Johnson, Cheryl Baldridge, Michelle Spargo, Mindy Gibson, Daniel Johnson, Tonya Belt, and Brandon Johnson; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded by: his parents, George Johnson and Estalee(Brawley) Mithcerson; 2 sisters, Karen Harris and Kathy Duncan; 1 great-grandchild, Tyler Spargo. Tommy was a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam war. He loved spending time in the outdoors fishing and hunting. He loved his children and his many grand and great-grandchildren dearly. Services will be 6pm Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO. Mr. Johnson’s ashes will be buried at a later date in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Alton, MO. |
