Roger Phillip Bell was born to the late Lilburn and Callie (Pingleton) Bell on February 16, 1945 in Greer, MO and passed away peacefully at his home in Greer, MO on July 30, 2022. Roger was a devout Christian and a member of the Oak Forest Church of Christ in Greer for over 45 years. He lived an adventurous life and enjoyed to travel, ride his motorcycle, and go rock climbing, hang gliding, and sky diving. He did carpentry work, was a mail carrier for the US Post Office, and a bus driver for Alton Public Schools. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eva LaDean (Graham) Bell; a sister, Sheila Brown of Greer, MO; 2 brother in laws, LeRoy O’Neal of Alton, MO and Donnie Graham of Kansas City; four children Beth Wiggs (Maurice), Christa Brown (Randy) both of Alton, MO, Jessie Talbot (Zeke), and Micco Bell (Brandi) both of West Plains, MO; an aunt, Nellie Miner of Florissant, MO; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents (Lilburn and Callie); his step-father, Granville Chronister; 3 siblings: Max, Ricky, and Kathryn; and a brother in law, Junior Brown. Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6th at 10am at Oak Forest Church of Christ. |
