Margaret Louise Simpson was born July 8, 1948, in Oregon County, Missouri and passed away on January 6, 2023, in St. Louis County, Missouri. She wed Jerry Simpson December of 1964. Louise loved her children, family, and the outdoors, especially swimming in the Eleven Point and Jack’s Fork rivers, camping and the scenic areas of the Ozarks. She also enjoyed walking the wooded paths around their property, especially after a rain. Another of her passions was going to estate auctions. She would travel far and wide to spend the day at one. When younger she enjoyed riding her motorcycle, playing softball, and attending her children’s activities. However, nothing compared to her love of family, and she was proud to be from Oregon County. Louise is survived by her daughter Cindy and son-in-law, Rick Lowing and son Kenny Simpson; her grandchildren, Ben, Alex, and Jayden; her siblings: Lee Presley and spouse Carol; Betty and spouse, James Hand; Sally and spouse, Tom Collins; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Simpson; son, Chris; and parents, Margaret, and Orville Presley. Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Many Springs Cemetery |
