Waif Frank “Short†Hollis, age 76 of Independence MO was born August 19, 1946 in Oregon County MO and passed away March 5, 2023 in his home. Survivors include his children Michael Hollis, Tamara Hollis, LeAnn Hollis and Stacey Hollis and his cat Katie of the Kansas City Metro Area. His Sister Francis Hollis of Oregon County MO and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Wife Debra Sue (Schmidt) Hollis; His parents Elbert Sherrill Hollis and Rhoda (Frost) Hollis; His Brothers Elbert Hollis, Wayne Hollis and Kenneth Hollis. Frank was a Union Steelworker for 32 years at Armco Steel, and member of the Masonic Temple. He was adventurous, innovative, enjoyed camping, winemaking, barbequing, scuba diving, hunting, and off road four-wheel driving. Also he enjoyed float trips on the Eleven Point with his family and friends. Later in life he volunteered his time with local food pantries and always eager to help others as he was a jack of all trades. More importantly he was a loving Father, Husband, Brother and Friend. A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 11, 2023 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Funeral Services at Noon and burial in the Hollis Cemetery near Alton, MO. |
