Robert Lee Hufstedler, son of the late Wesley Ray Hufstedler and Emma Lois Nance Hufstedler was born November 4, 1931, at Riverton, Missouri, and departed this life March 9, 2023, at Riverton. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in Korea during the Korean conflict. He was married to Norma Lee Cantrell July 28, 1956, giving them over 66 good years together. Working years were spent in the St. Louis area, retiring from McDonnell Douglas in 1987. Weekends were for having fun...camping, canoeing, fishing, motorcycling, and then building a house for retirement. Over 35 years retirement which meant some necessary work on farm, travelling, music (jam sessions with friends), card playing with friends. He loved to build things for son Barry, for example, a motorized Kinderwagon when Barry was five. There was never a project too large for him to tackle such as designing and building his retirement home, mechanical work, custom woodworking. If it needed to be done, Bob would find a way Preceding him in death were parents Wesley Ray and Emma Lois Hufstedler and brother Alferd G. Hufstedler. Survivors are wife Norma , son John Barry Hufstedler and wife Kimberly of St. Charles, Missouri. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on May 6, 2023, at BB Road VFD and Community Center. |
